The Rule 500 automatic bilge pump is fully automatic without the need for an additional float switch. It checks for the presence of water every 2 1/2 minutes. During this "check" phase motor only runs for one second and measures for resistance against the impeller. Pump automatically will turn off if when all water is pumped overboard and returns to the check phase. This pump will not drain the vessels battery due to it only consumes 0.20 amp hours per day. 3/4'' (19mm) discharge outlet. 12 Volts DC.
