This is the coolest thing Lowrance has come out with since the high definition units. It's an onboard integrated sound system that hooks into your NEMA2000 network and virtually turns your fishfinders into stereo controllers. It has an audio server with a built in amplifier and am/fm tuner that gets exceptional high definition station reception. The box is slightly smaller than the structure scan main unit and can be installed in any position. The waterproof docking station comes with six adapters that work with different iPods, iPhones & MP3s that enable you to plug your idevice into the hub, and now control it from any fishfinder in your network.  Sonic Hub will also work with Sirius Satellite Radio. Lowrance has provided two 6.5" 200 watt marine grade speakers that will surprise you with the amount of heavy lifting they can do. Comes with everything you need to hook into your NEMA2000 network. If you only have a stand alone head unit you will need the NEMA2000 starter kit (124-69) to link the system together via the powered network.  When listening to the Sonic Hub you will have a window across the bottom of the fishfinder screen that will show channel info as well as band and song titles. When reading from your provided storage device, you can control volume & shuffel etc or adjust bass & treble.  On the HDS8 and HDS10 the tool bar will switch from fishfinder to stereo control options.
